Where complex individual reporting requirements need to be met, PRONTO-Xi Financial Report Writer provides a flexible tool for writing your own General Ledger reports. These reports are ideal for when you want to:
Perform calculations on General Ledger data;
Total, consolidate, sort or select accounts based on sub-parts of the General Ledger account code;
Automate the substitution of a parameter (such as a cost centre or division code) into a report;
Automate the production of sets of related reports.
Financial Reporting Writer allows you to perform calculations on both columns and rows. You can define calculated columns, and rows that are the total, ratio or multiple of other rows in the report.
Integration with Microsoft Excel
PRONTO-Xi Financial Report Writer works with Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes by automatically populating a spreadsheet with extracted and summarised data. This "one click" feature allows you to utilise all of the functions and features provided by Excel to manipulate your financial data, should you require this.
Access Timely and Accurate Information
All reports in PRONTO-Xi include XML hyperlinks to support "drill down" to the underlying transaction data providing easy access for your staff to the information required to make informed business decisions. In addition to over 500 standard existing reports there are various user-defined reporting capabilities to ensure that your business information does not become locked within the PRONTO-Xi database.
Of course all reports apply existing PRONTO-Xi security when the XML drill down functionality is used, meaning that reports can be safely distributed to staff as summary sheets and unless their security access allows it, they will not be able to drill down to the underlying data.

Integrated Report Distribution ManagerPRONTO-Xi includes the Report Distribution Manager (RDM), which is an included application that can be configured to automatically run and distribute reports to your staff. RDM makes it practical to build exception reports that cut through the clutter of typical, detailed reports.
RDM has been designed as a “set and forget” system. Once an RDM job has been defined, it will run as part of PRONTO-Xi’s regular set of batch jobs. Jobs are set up by the PRONTO-Xi administrator in the Report Distribution Master screen. From this screen the report administrator creates jobs and defines their characteristics including:
- List of PRONTO-Xi reports to be generated – RDM can include one or many reports in a job;
- Start and end dates for the job – Jobs can be scheduled only to run over a specific time period;
- Report generation frequency – Jobs can be run daily, weekly, monthly, every n days etc;
- List of recipient users – Recipients can be sent to specific users, RDM-defined groups of users or printers.
Whatever your reporting needs, PRONTO-Xi either delivers out-of-the-box or can be accessed by appropriated third-party tools to deliver the information you require.
