Using Notional Costs in the "POS Decision Support System"
The "POS Decision Support System", or DSS, is a fantastic feature in PRONTO-Xi that allows the retailer to review sales by various time periods for selected or all stores.
In PRONTO-Xi Phase 6, the user can select to display "Notional" costs rather than "Normal" costs in the DSS. Notional cost can be "Floor Cost", "Net Cost" or "Net Net Cost". Notional costs are setup in the Inventory module.
The system administrator can then restrict what costs a user can view. For example, store staff might only be able to view Floor Costs. This can be useful to motivate store managers to maintain margins without exposing the true cost of your products.

More flexible pricing methods for Manufacturers
Did you know that with the upgraded Product Configurator in PRONTO-Xi Phase 6, you now have added flexibility of generating different pricing models to suit different scenarios?
The pricing logic in the system has been changed to an exportable procedure, allowing businesses to modify/customise the pricing formulas via a component library.

Using a Datagrid to create a GL Account List or a Trial balance
Did you know that you can quickly and easily create a General Ledger account list or even a full Trial Balance and drop the results into EXCEL? This can be very useful when reconciling a GL account or reviewing a Trial Balance.
Simply select “Enquire on G/Ledger Account” from the General Ledger menu, click subtotal and enter the required GL account. When the Datagrid displays, click the EXCEL icon at the top of the screen and you are done! Enlarge the thumbnail on the right for more detailed instructions.
